For someone with diabetes, a small blister on their foot can turn into a serious infection – if it’s spotted too late. In many parts of India, specialist care can be far away, making early detection crucial. Through the Global Diabetes Foot Training Programme, nurses and other frontline health professionals gain practical tools to identify warning signs early, act sooner, and work across disciplines as one team. The programme also scales its impact by enabling participants to pass skills on locally through cascade trainings.

The programme is part of the Partnership for Education of Health Professionals (PEP), supporting training partnerships in India, East Africa, and Denmark to build capacity in cardiometabolic care.
